John Ruston Cup
John, or ‘Mushy’ to his close friends, has been involved in cycle sport since his teenage years. He and his wife Susan held various committee positions since the early seventies, Susan being club treasurer for a long time.
John was always an enthusiastic supporter of all disciplines, Road, Track, Time Trial, Cyclo-Cross, Sportives, you name it and he would be there in some capacity or other. Not just Wheelers events, he supported other clubs far and wide including being a driver for the 5-day Ras Cymru. He wanted to encourage more women to take up road racing, hence he donated this trophy in 2006.
