Circuit racing takes place on closed-road circuits, either purpose built for cycling, repurposed motor racing circuits or sometimes closed-road circuits in town centres. There are several circuits in the West Midlands - Sundorne (Shrewsbury), Stourport-on-Severn, Tudor Grange (Solihull) and Curborough (near Lichfield) - which are used regularly for cycle racing.
For U8, U10 and those U12 riders who do not wish to race track bikes, there will be coach led freewheeler races immediately before the senior racing starts, starting at 6:30pm. Sign-on will open at 6:15pm.
All races will be arranged according to ability groups rather than age.
There will be 3 races per night for each group and your best 8 weeks scores will count towards your overall standing in the freewheelers leagues.
In 2019 WWCC Track League will take place from May 1st to September 4th, starting at 7.15pm. Sign-on will close at 6.50pm. The track will be open for riders to warm-up from 7.00pm. Prize presentation night will be September 4th.
There will be accreditation sessions for those who have not ridden the track before - during April once training has started on the track on Wednesdays 7pm-9pm
Is based at Aldersley Leisure Village and is run every Wednesday at 6:30 (Freewheelers) 7.00 p.m. (Youth U14/16, Jun & Sen) from May to September. Watch the event listings for exact dates.
This asphalt track with a 22.5° banking is an ideal venue for novice and expert alike. Centred at the heart of this multi-million pound complex with excellent facilities, we offer racing for all ages and abilities.
Trophies are awarded to Seniors, Juniors, Youth, Ladies, Veterans, under 12’s & under 10’s.
