The 2010 season approaches and it will soon be time for the Reliability Rides again...

 

As always these will be held on the last two Sundays n February and the first Sunday in March all starting from the Seven Stars P.H. in Seisdon:

 

21st Feb. The 'Eccleshall 100' = 100km 62.5 miles of undulating roads in South Staffordshire as far north as Eccleshall but returning via Cosford, Shifnal, Beckbury and Pattingham.

 

28th Feb. The '50 in 4' = 50 hilly miles heading out thro' Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock and Wenlock Edge - retracing back thro' Morville, Bridgnorth and the Hermitage.

 

7th March. 'The Wrekin Wrun' = a very hilly 55 mile route out thro' Ironbridge. Little Wenlock, Cressage, Hughley, Wenlock Edge, Much Wenlock, Ironbridge and Tinkers Castle...

 

These are not races and will have four groups leaving between 8.45 and 9.30 am all returning to the Seven Stars in Seisdon. Groups will be formulated according to ability and size.

 

Last year we raised £600.00 which was donated to the Special Olympics fund to assist athletes less able than ourselves. Many thanks to all those who contributed including local clubs such as The Stourbridge CC, W-ton RC, The Elizabethan CC, The Wrekinsport, Paramount, Stourbridge Velo, the Black Country Triathletes etc. My apologies if I have missed anyone.

 

I hope to see you all again, please join in these 'challenging' rides and help us do even better this year.

 

Route Sheets will be available and advance copies are attached, but please check for any changes on the day (road works etc have necessitated last minute changes in the past).

 

NB. There will be very easy and shorter accompanying rides for beginners and novices....
