Keith Nunn sadly passed away on the 3rd September.
Keith had been a keen cyclist from his early teenage years until well into his 80s.
He was a keen trainspotter and with Barry Moore and Bob Kyte, cycled all over the Midlands visiting train stations and train yards.
Keith joined Wolverhampton Wheelers in his late teens and started road racing. His best result was finishing 4th in a race that went up Holme Moss twice.
He went on a number of touring holidays with the Wheelers to Scotland, the Lake District, and Cornwall.
Most Sundays he would ride with a group including Barry Moore and Gil Parkes. He joined Ron Moules Thursday group which went to various venues within a 30mile radius of Wolverhampton. He rode the Wild Wales, and the Shropshire challenge on a number of occasions.
The most memorable event that he and members of the Thursday group rode was the now legendary Chester Safari 100, although he and the group rode 120miles after taking the wrong turning. The event took place in November and it rained all day long.
He was a member of the Wheelers for over 50 years and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
His funeral will take place on the 9th October at Midday at Bushbury Crematorium, followed by a Wake at Fordhouses Cricket club.
