Ann Nagle (nee Poole) passed away recently at just 65 years old, after a long struggle against cancer.
Ann the elder daughter of Horace and Betty Poole, represented the Wheelers in her younger years along with her sister Christine.
The Poole sisters rode Time Trials as well as local track leagues and were often out on the roads with the family - Horace having been a double National Junior Champion.
As with many such families cycling ran in the blood, and Ann married Ollie Nagle - National Amateur Cyclo-Cross Champion in 1970 when it was held at Crystal Palace in London.
It is with a sad heart that we say goodbye to Ann as she joins her brother Andy - another Wheelers Champion who was tragically killed in an avalanche in the Alps when only in his late 20's.
Ann's funeral is set for 10.30 am on Monday 14th May at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brewood, Staffordshire.
