January Committee Update

After last nights committee meeting we now have the social secretary, youth representative and Youth Development roles filled and a full committee team of 30 in place aided by a team of coaches ready for the year ahead. All areas of the club have now got leadership and direction.

We had approval to proceed with the new kit design which is underway with suppliers. Pricing has been agreed with suppliers on the range of items that the club provides for its members and hopefully we should soon be in a position to show the new look to the membership. Nearly there.

We expect once finally agreed to be ready for placing orders before the end of the month although delivery will take a number of weeks and our target date is delivery by 31st March if all goes to plan.

Once we know more we will update the membership as we are reviewing the online ordering process and portal.

The club has now a social media strategy and a sub group has been formed in order to improve our digital voice. You will slowly see changes ahead in this area and a big change on internal and external communication which has already started so you will see and read more. Give us a little time.

New Membership subscriptions are starting to roll in now but we still need existing members to get their 2020 membership fees paid even if many are waiting for lighter evenings and warmer days as we are looking to get membership improved as we offer so much to the cycling community.

Events are already in place or are currently being organised across all disciplines of cycling for the spring ahead and want to really get as many down to the track as the weather allows or improves.

The club this year has chosen three charities to support with rider events and these will be announced shortly.

Next Monday part of our wheelers leadership team will be meeting with British Cycling Head office and regional staff to see how BC can engage better with our club so hopefully we may find out more on Sport England Funding.
